Clutch Sports Academy was opened by a husband and wife team of Trista and Derrick Peterson. At Clutch Sports Academy, our mission is to help young athletes unlock their full potential. With instructions by Derrick Peterson, a former professional baseball player and experienced coach, our academy combines the best of personal experience, advanced technology, and individualized training. Derrick's journey from high school state champion to pro ballplayer fuels his passion for teaching young athletes, helping them develop skills that serve them on the field—and beyond.

Join our HitTrax-powered lessons, seasonal camps, and leagues for all ages. From competitive leagues to personalized training, Clutch Sports Academy has everything baseball and softball athletes need to excel!

Our Camps

Camps at Clutch Sports Academy

This winter, Clutch Sports Academy offers skill-focused baseball and softball camps for ages 8-18, with specialized sessions for various levels.

Baseball Camps
Four 90-minute sessions on pitching, fielding, hitting, and baserunning from December 26-27, 2024. Each session is $25, or $90 for all. Includes Q&A and a camp T-shirt.
Softball Camps
Two-day camp on January 2-3, 2025, covering hitting, fielding, and baserunning. Each day is 2.5 hours for $50, including Q&A and T-shirt.
Coaching Clinic
A specialized clinic for local coaches covering coaching strategies, mechanics, and drills on December 23, 2024. Cost: $30.

Hitting Leagues

Winter Hitting Leagues at Clutch Sports Academy

Join our winter Hitting Leagues powered by HitTrax! Experience competitive, indoor baseball and softball gameplay with real-time data on exit velocity, launch, college stadiums, and field charts in iconic MLB and international stadiums.

Games are held weekly, starting December 15, 2024. Teams of 4-6 players will play two 7-inning games weekly, with playoffs in the final week. Cost is $75/player for the 8-week league. Champions earn t-shirts and individual awards.
